Position Summary
Maintenance Technician serves as a key member of the Easley Maintenance Team, providing day to day support through knowledge and skill. Key responsibilities include preventative maintenance, repairs, installation and troubleshooting of chemical manufacturing equipment and systems.
Essential Functions
- Perform routine maintenance on manufacturing and utility equipment to ensure smooth operation and maximum efficiency. Equipment includes but is not limited to diaphragm and centrifugal pumps, agitators, fans, valves, electrical controls, boilers, and cooling towers.
- Perform preventative maintenance, including routine calibrations, inspection of drives, motors, belts, and fluid levels, and replacement of filters.
- Diagnose and repair equipment using a variety of tools, ranging from hand and power tools (e.g., hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches) to precision measuring instruments and electronic testing devices.
- Assemble, install, and repair electrical wiring, electronic components, plumbing, piping systems, and machinery to ensure proper function and safety.
- Operate and inspect equipment to identify malfunctions. Use blueprints, line diagrams, repair manuals, and parts catalogs to guide troubleshooting and repairs.
- Clean, lubricate, and maintain moving parts such as shafts, bearings, and gears to ensure optimal performance and prevent breakdowns.
- Utilize a field tablet to complete general work orders and PMs using an online system.
- Participate in on-call rotation using a company phone to respond to urgent maintenance requests during off-hours after completing initial training requirements.
- Abide by all Company policies, OSHA safety regulations, and applicable Quality Standards to maintain a safe and compliant work environment.
Education
High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
Experience
Three to seven years related experience, preferred

Work Environment
Exposed to outdoor temperatures; Covered open -air production facility. Walk on concrete or mezzanine.
