Gap Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician to drive continuous improvement in distribution centers. This role focuses on performing mechanical repairs and electrical maintenance, ensuring efficiency and reliability within operations, while fostering positive cross-functional relationships.
Perform basic facility repairs and or mechanical repairs on equipment associated with warehouse distribution, while maintaining/obtaining a PIV license to operate all PIV equipment needed at your assigned location
Perform basic electrical skills – the ability to use a voltage meter, verifying circuits are de energized for lighting system repairs.
Perform basic PM’s on all associated equipment – including identification of damaged or defective equipment and repair in a timely manner.
Develop positive cross functional internal and external relationships with the focus on delivering targeted results that improve the overall occupancy experience, operating efficiency, and site reliability
Use established tools and procedures to identify, organize and categorize information
Effectively utilize all typical maintenance shop equipment (i.e. mig & arc welding, torch, drill press, grinders, etc..) and have operational knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
Ability to demonstrate electrical and PLC knowledge
Ability to work, plan, and prioritize independently and effectively
Strong verbal, written, analytical and persuasive skills inclusive of exercising good judgement
Capable of multitasking, highly organized, with excellent time management skills
