EMCOR Facilities Services is seeking a Maintenance Technician to deliver timely maintenance and repairs for client facilities in Durham, NC. You will use carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, roofing, and HVAC skills to address building issues and maintain equipment reliability.
Responsibilities include completing work orders, performing basic PM tasks, documenting work in CMMS, and adhering to safety standards. A valid driver’s license and ability to work overtime are preferred.

We provide comprehensive facility services ranging from mechanical maintenance and self-performed, site-based operations to energy-efficiency upgrades and supplier-managed interior/exterior maintenance.
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for delivering effective, efficient, and timely delivery of the Company’s line of services within assigned facilities. Performs preventive maintenance and corrective repairs on buildings, equipment, and grounds. Conducts “face to face” relationship with Customers in the service of the client’s requirements. Utilizes multiple trade skills such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, roofing, HVAC, and other skills as needed to solve maintenance problems.
Completes preventative maintenance and repairs per work order requirements. Self performs the following duties in compliance with company procedures, regulatory requirements, and safety standards.
Obtains necessary materials and supplies to complete all tasks.
Keeps facilities clean in appearance, removing trash, minor landscaping and other duties as assigned.
Documenting work and time management properly in CMMS management system.
Obtains and completes EFS required safety and compliance training and attends weekly safety meetings.
Education
High School Diploma, GED or Equivalent two-year college or technical trade school; or equivalent combination of training, education, and experience.
Business Experience
Two to five years mechanical experience, including electrical, plumbing, carpentry required; or equivalent combination of training, education, and experience.
Licenses/Certifications
Valid driver’s license
Language Skills
Ability to read and comprehend instructions including, but not limited to, safety policies and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in individual and small group situations.
