Job summary

Precision Castparts is seeking a Maintenance Technician I to support machinery maintenance and resolve technical issues at our facility in Georgia. The role emphasizes safety, quality, and teamwork within the Maintenance department.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma with 1–2 years of industrial maintenance exposure and a basic understanding of PLCs and electrical systems. On-site work with preventive maintenance duties and hands-on problem solving is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; 2 years of technical education in an engineering-related field preferred.
• Entry level to 2 years of experience in industrial maintenance.
• Must be able to read, interpret basic schematics and drawings.

Responsibilities

• Execute assigned maintenance duties to support machinery and other technical requirements.
• Report observed issues and communicate needed actions to management.
• Demonstrate basic trouble-shooting skills and maintain safe, quality-focused work practices.
• Maintain hand tools and support preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
• Understand and support plant utilities and processes.

Job Function

Executes the assigned duties as necessary to support technical issues required to resolve machinery maintenance and other requirements.

Specific Responsibilities

• Involved in application issues and supports the department with technical related skills.
• Reports to management observed technical issues and problems experienced and perceived action required to resolve these matters.
• Must have an good knowledge of industrial maintenance.
• Must have moderate mechanical background or moderate electrical/electronics background to include PLC’s.
• Must have a good understanding of the processes.
• Must understand and support the predictive and preventive maintenance programs.
• Demonstrate good problem-solving skills and at all times promote safety and quality.
• Must have a good understanding of plant utilities.
• Maintain hand tools and use them properly.
• Must demonstrate basic trouble-shooting skills.

Education

High school education required. Prefer 2 years of technical education in an engineering-related field.

Experience

Entry level - 2 years experience in industrial maintenance.

Supervision

Moderate supervision received. No supervisory responsibility.
