Job summary

Westover Companies in Berwyn, PA is seeking a Maintenance Technician to service apartment communities. You will perform routine maintenance, handle service requests, and participate in preventative maintenance to keep units and common areas in top condition.

The role requires diagnosing HVAC, electrical and plumbing issues, using basic hand tools, and following safety procedures. You will share on-call duties and collaborate with leasing and maintenance staff to deliver superior resident

Qualifications

• Willingness to participate in on-call rotations.

The Maintenance Technician supports one or multiple apartment properties maintaining routine service requests as well as preventative maintenance. He/she will be responsible for completing this work safely and timely to provide our residents with superior customer service. We are currently looking for a Maintenance Technician for our apartment community in Berwyn, PA.

Duties and Responsibilities include:

• Exhibiting strong commitment to the service needs of the internal and external customer.
• Communicating and working well with both leasing and maintenance staff members.
• Always representing the company in a professional and courteous manner.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, service requests, turnovers, preventative maintenance to units and common areas as well as any other duties assigned.
• Sharing on-call responsibility.
• Diagnosing and repairing HVAC, electrical and plumbing related issues.
• Providing own (basic) hand tools.
• Maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
• Attending in-house training as required.
• Maintaining current preventative maintenance property logs.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Demonstrate theappropriateand safe use of standard hand and power tools.
• Lifting and moving heavy items (water heaters, appliances, rock salt, etc.).
• Be able to shovel and salt asrequired.
• Performroutine,preventative maintenance.
• Knowledge and practice of a variety of building trade skills.
• Be able to work on step/extension ladders and roofs while following safety protocols.
• Able and willing to lift objects asrequired.
• Keep track of inventory andmaintaina clean and stocked shop.
• Complete work ordersin a timely manner.
• Identifysafety and hazardous conditions and communicate any issues.
• Follow company operational and safety procedures.
• Ability toworkan on-call schedule asrequired.
