BTD Manufacturing in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota, is looking for a maintenance technician tasked with maintaining and repairing plant equipment effectively.
The ideal candidate has a strong background in troubleshooting and safety compliance, coupled with the ability to train others. The hourly pay ranges from $24.88 to $34.86, depending on experience and skills. A second-class boiler license is required, along with substantial technical training.
BTD is a fast‑growing metalworking company that provides custom metalwork services for leading brands. The company employs over 1,100 people across four facilities in the Midwest and Southeast and is a wholly owned subsidiary of Otter Tail Corporation, a publicly traded company on NASDAQ.
Maintain, inspect, repair, and test all equipment and machines in the plant as well as the building’s operational system. Train new employees in proper equipment operation and provide ongoing information as required. Design and fabricate new equipment and accessories in conjunction with the maintenance function. Serve as an occasional leader on maintenance projects.

High school graduation (or equivalent) plus at least two years of related technical training and three years of job‑related experience. Must hold a second‑class C or higher boiler license.

OTC7 $24.88 - $34.86 per hour. The range shown complies with all state and local regulations. Salaries are determined based on an individual’s knowledge, skills, experience, and education, and do not include additional compensation such as bonuses, health benefits, vacation, or 401(k) match.
