Position Title: Maintenance Technician
Wage: $25-$35/hour
Shift: 1st, 2nd
Hours: 7am-3:30pm; 3pm-11:30pm
QPS is looking for 1st and 2nd shift Maintenance Technicians for a client in Delavan, WI. If you have a positive attitude and the ability to work independently and as a team, we would like to talk with you!
Maintenance Technician Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on plastic injection molding machines, extrusion lines, conveyors, dryers, grinders, chillers, and related equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical electrical pneumatic and hydraulic systems
- Respond to machine breakdowns quickly and efficiently to minimize production downtime
- Conduct equipment inspections; identify potential issues and document findings in maintenance logs
- Collaborate with production staff to ensure machines are operating safely and efficiently
- Read and interpret blueprints schematics and equipment manuals
- Maintain a clean and organized maintenance area and ensure tools and spare parts are properly stored
- Assist in equipment installation upgrades and facility improvements as needed
- Adhere to all company safety policies procedures and OSHA regulations
Maintenance Technician Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade school certification preferred
- 3 or more years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment preferably in plastics
- Strong mechanical aptitude with experience in troubleshooting and repairing industrial equipment
- Working knowledge of electrical systems including 120V 240V and 480V PLCs and motor controls is a plus
- Familiarity with injection molding or extrusion machinery preferred
- Ability to use hand and power tools, welders, multimeters and diagnostic equipment
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds stand or walk for extended periods and work in industrial conditions
