• Installs, calibrates, programs, operates, and/or repairs controls for salting streets and related systems.
• Repairs equipment and vehicles including sweepers, pumps and valves, plows, bulldozers, graders, and related gear.
• Orders parts and maintains inventory levels.
• Trains staff in operating trucks and equipment.
• Maintains regular and predictable attendance.

CLASS SUMMARY: This position is responsible for maintaining and repairing a fleet of vehicles for an assigned division. Responsibilities may include calibrating related systems; repairing various equipment and vehicles; and maintaining inventory. May act as lead worker to employees in lower classifications.TYPICAL CLASS ESSENTIAL DUTIES: (These duties are a representative sample; position assignments may vary.)1. Repairs various equipment and vehicles, including: repairing sweepers; repairing pumps and valves; repairing plows; repairing bulldozers; repairing graders; and repairing related equipment and vehicles.3. Orders parts and supplies and maintains proper inventory levels.4. Trains staff in operating trucks and equipment.5.
