Job summary

thyssenkrupp Forged Technologies is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support daily and preventative maintenance across our manufacturing sites. You will diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical systems, perform routine checks, and keep meticulous records of repairs and parts used.

The role demands hands-on experience in a heavy-industry environment, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to adapt to evolving equipment and processes.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Specialized training in mechanics or related field preferred.
• 3-5 years of hands-on maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

• Perform machine maintenance and daily checks on plant equipment.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, update and repair malfunctioning equipment.
• Perform routine mechanical or machining maintenance activities on equipment.
• Monitor plant support systems (air compressors, fire suppression, chillers) and document findings.
• Participate in preventative maintenance programs based on OEM manuals.
• Maintain records of work orders, repairs, and parts used.

• Machine maintenance
• Daily maintenance checks
• Preventative maintenance initiatives
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, update and repair malfunctioning plant equipment
• Perform routine mechanical or machining maintenance activities on equipment
• Perform daily checks of plant support systems including air compressors, fire suppression, and machine chillers; take readings, fill out corresponding checklists, and turn in weekly
• Participate in preventative maintenance program based on OEMs (Original Equipment Manuals) for plant equipment, machinery, and related facilities
• Maintain record of work orders, repairs done, and parts used

Education/Credentials/Certifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Specialized training in mechanics trade or related field preferred

Length of Experience

• 3-5 years of hands-on experience in maintenance in a manufacturing setting

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

• Excellent mechanical skills
• Understanding of pneumatics, hydraulics, and electrical
• Ability to convert metric to standard and basic mathematical ability
• Excellent reasoning and problem solving ability
