Job summary

B & M Management Company, L.L.C. seeks a capable maintenance technician in Dallas to manage service requests, assign tasks, and ensure timely completion.

You will perform repairs across carpentry, electrical, plumbing and more, while maintaining safety standards. The role requires clear communication with residents and staff, basic software skills (MS Word, Excel, Outlook, OneSite), and a readiness to work varied hours, including weekends.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective interaction with residents, prospects, employees, peers, vendors, owners, etc.
• Computer software experience to include MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, and OneSite.
• Basic understanding of Federal, State and local Fair Housing laws.

Responsibilities

• Reviews service requests and assigns to appropriate employee for completion.
• Complete daily service requests.
• Reviews the returned service request completion report to ensure all assigned service requests have been completed satisfactorily and timely.
• Establishes and maintains an inventory of parts, materials and supplies determining which items will be stocked and the appropriate amounts and which items will be purchased on an as needed basis.
• Record work performed on resident service requests accurately and in detail.
• Certifies the work performed by contractors is property completed prior to payment being issued.
• Performs maintenance and repairs in areas of carpentry, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, painting and other building repairs.
• Follows safety procedures and maintains a safe working environment.
