Job summary

Fogelman is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform repairs and maintenance on apartment buildings and grounds. You will handle service requests, complete make-ready units, and ensure safety and quality in every task.

The role requires experience in apartment maintenance, HVAC/CPO preferences, and strong communication with residents and vendors. Eligibility may include driving to various properties and adhering to safety policies.

Qualifications

  • Three years of apartment maintenance experience preferred.
  • HVAC certification (Type 1 & 2 or Universal) required or preferred.
  • Certified Pool Operator (CPO) preferred.
  • Proficient in plumbing, HVAC, electrical and appliance repair.
  • Proficient in computers and online applications.
  • Knowledge of property systems such as Yardi, Entrata, and HappyCo preferred.
  • A valid driver’s license and auto insurance may be required depending on property.

Responsibilities

  • Complete all service requests as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Complete make-ready units as required.
  • Maintain and inventory all supplies and equipment.
  • Provide personal tools as needed.
  • Keep work area, tools, and equipment clean.
  • Assist in preventive maintenance projects.
  • Escalate unresolved issues to the Service Director.
  • Participate in on-call rotation and respond to emergencies.
  • Maintain positive communication with residents, vendors and coworkers.
  • Follow safety policies at all times.
  • Weekend work may be required.
  • Adhere to all company policies including safety and Fair Housing.
  • Perform other job duties as assigned.

SUMMARY

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for completing maintenance service requests and repairs to the buildings and grounds as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor while providing excellent customer service to our residents.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Responsible for completing all service requests as assigned.
  • Responsible for the completion of all make-ready units.
  • Responsible for the care, maintenance and inventory of all supplies and equipment owned by the property and/or the management company.
  • Responsible for supplying all personal tools.
  • Responsible for cleaning work area, tools and equipment.
  • Assists in preventive maintenance projects.
  • Escalate unresolved service issues to the Service Director.
  • Participates in "on call" rotation and responds to emergency calls as needed.
  • Responsible for positive communications with residents, vendors, and co-workers.
  • Be aware of and operate within company safety policies at all times.
  • Weekend work may be required.
  • Adhere to all company policies including but not limited to safety and Fair Housing.
  • Other job duties as assigned.

  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
