Job summary

Oldcastle APG in Maryland is seeking a maintenance technician responsible for the overall maintenance and repair of equipment, tools, and machinery in our plant. You will perform repairs, tuneups, and assist in installing new equipment to keep production running smoothly.

The role requires at least three years of manufacturing maintenance experience, a strong electrical background with PLCs and 480V motors, and ability to read blueprints.

Qualifications

• Three years of maintenance experience in manufacturing or distribution.
• Strong electrical background with familiarity of Programmable Logic Controllers and 480V motors.
• Experience with preventive maintenance and repairs to conveyor systems.
• Basic hydraulic and pneumatic knowledge.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively with team members.
• Overtime work as needed.

Responsibilities

• Repair and adjust machinery; dismantle components to repair or replace defective parts.
• Operate shop tools and machinery related to maintenance.
• Assist in installing new plant equipment.
• Maintain production equipment to maximize uptime and safe operation.
• Read blueprints, wiring diagrams, process sheets, and schematics.
• Conduct preventive maintenance tasks to ensure efficient operation.
• Support site housekeeping and safety programs.
• Participate in additional tasks as needed.

Job Summary

Responsible for overall maintenance and repair of equipment, tools, and machinery as assigned by the Maintenance Manager.

Job Responsibilities

• Make repairs and adjustments to machinery and assist in dismantling all or parts of machinery to repair or replace defective components
• Operate shop tools, equipment, and as many machines related to maintenance as skill level will permit
• Perform certain portions of repairs to power industrial equipment, assists in rebuilding of related equipment
• Assist in the installation of new plant equipment
• Maintain production equipment in good operating condition while optimizing equipment uptime to ensure the safe and timely manufacture of quality coatings
• Improve reliability and operating efficiency of plant equipment
• Maintenance for programmable logic controller based equipment
• Install power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed machines and equipment
• Read blueprints, wiring diagrams, process sheets, and assembly schematic drawings
• Conduct preventive maintenance tasks in a timely manner to ensure operation of all equipment, in an efficient and safe manner
• Support site housekeeping and safety programs, maintaining a workplace that is clean and safe
• Participation towards completion of other related tasks and duties as directed or needed

Job Requirements

• Must have at least three years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment
• Strong electrical background required, familiar with Programmable Logic Controllers and 480V motors
• Experience with performing preventative maintenance and repairs to conveyor systems
• Must have basic hydraulic and pneumatic knowledge
• Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively with team members
• Must be able to work overtime with or without reasonable accommodation

• The hourly pay is $25-$35, based on experience
