The Maintenance Technician at Savage’s Corpus Christi Facility will be responsible for the preventative maintenance and repair of equipment used at the facility.

This Is What You'll Be Doing

• Perform minor/major repairs and scheduled preventative maintenance on pickups, mobile equipment, tractors and trailers at our Corpus Christi facility
• Assists with other facility mechanical repairs as necessary
• Maintain shop cleanliness and parts inventory
• Partner with the Maintenance Supervisor to utilize the CMMS system as a tool of organization and preventative maintenance record keeping
• Ensure all work is performed in compliance with regulatory requirements
• Follow proper safety rules, maintenance, and operating procedures
• Assist with writing and revising maintenance procedures as needed
  
  

This Is What Need From You

• Experience in troubleshooting and repairing pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and diesel engine systems
• Experience in identifying and diagnosing repairs by computer based systems, being able to visually recognize problems
• Has an invested interest in operational safety
• Be able to read, write and understand English and follow written and/or verbal instructions
• Effective interfacing with internal leadership, direct reports, external vendors and other team members
• Self-starter capable of working independently, in line with company goals, strategies and policies
• Excellent planning and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and carry critical projects to completion
• Welding experience a plus
• Knowledge and experience using a CMMS is helpful
• Prior experience as a mobile equipment mechanic/diesel mechanic, pickups, tractors and trailers required
  
  

Physical Requirements

• Will be on your feet for extended period of time throughout the day
• Able to lift 50 lbs.
• Will be on call at designated times
• Navigating the facility will include, but is not limited to, exposure to harsh weather conditions, uneven ground, ladders, racks and other high places, ground that can be slick or uneven, and other industrial hazards
• The work site is an industrial setting and will require someone who can work safely around this type of environment, as well as ensure compliance to strict OSHA and State regulations
