Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Location: Berlin, CT

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 6:30am to 3:00pm

Compensation: Negotiable based on experience and market value

Employment Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire

Job Purpose & Scope:

This role involves performing maintenance and repairs on plastic injection molding machinery and related equipment, including robots, chillers, thermolators, and hot runner systems.

• Repair, troubleshoot, and inspect mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance according to specifications
• Regularly check heater bands, rings, and screws/barrels
• Safely use appropriate equipment for maintenance tasks

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5+ years of maintenance experience with plastic injection molding machinery and peripheral equipment
• Ability to follow procedures, read blueprints, and maintain accurate records
• Understanding of auxiliary, electrical, hydraulic equipment, robots, and machines
• Proficient in English communication (reading and writing)

Physical Demands:

• Work in loud manufacturing environments
• Occasional bending, squatting, climbing, grasping, reaching, and lifting up to 50 lbs
