Job summary

Wallick in Columbus, OH is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support affordable housing communities. You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance, complete work orders promptly, and assist with site projects to ensure safe, welcoming residences.

The role requires 2+ years of maintenance experience, knowledge of electrical and plumbing systems, HVAC skills, and a valid driver’s license. You will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain apartment systems, respond to emergencies, and

• 2+ years of experience in maintenance or related field.
• Working knowledge of apartment maintenance functions, including basic tools, equipment and mobile work order technology.
• Strong knowledge of electrical and/or plumbing systems.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, communication, and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• A valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

SCHEDULE

On-call rotation

What You Will Do

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Travel between communities within the region may be required. Work is performed indoors and outside, including resident apartments, common areas, maintenance shops, community grounds and outdoor shared spaces. The role includes on-call responsibilities and requires extensive walking, stooping, bending, balancing, kneeling, squatting and climbing, with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
