Job summary

Greenbridge is seeking a Maintenance Technician to service electrical control cabinets on the production floor, machinery and office areas. You will troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance while coordinating with production staff.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in manufacturing maintenance, experience with PLCs/VFDs, and strong problem-solving skills. The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and timely work order completion.

Qualifications

• Understanding electrical diagrams and wiring from 12 VDC to 480 VAC with diagnostic capability.
• Experience with PLCs, VFDs, and relay-based logic in a manufacturing setting.
• Multidisciplinary skill set in mechanical, electrical and HVAC with rapid learning ability.

Responsibilities

• Repair or replace extrusion process line equipment to keep operations safe and efficient.
• Prioritize breakdowns based on production input and urgency.
• Troubleshoot equipment with production personnel to isolate faults.
• Ensure work orders are completed timely and parts are accounted for.
• Diagnose repairs or escalate to Maintenance Manager if longer timelines are needed.
• Perform preventive maintenance inspections and servicing of machines.
• Clean machines and parts; reinstall components as required.
• Oil and lubricate moving parts for optimal performance.
• Record damaged, worn, or broken parts and report findings.
• Identify causes of unexpected breakdowns and implement fixes.
• Keep shop areas organized, stocked, and compliant with 5S principles.
• Coordinate with managers to schedule regular maintenance on machines.
• Collaborate with production manager or plant engineer on new products and modifications.
• Make modifications and run tests; discuss results with production manager and adjust.

Greenbridge is looking for a Maintenance Technician with experience working in electrical control cabinets, including troubleshooting, wiring, and electrical repairs. As a Maintenance Technician, you are responsible for maintaining the equipment in the facility on the production floor, warehouse and the office area.

Responsibilities

• Repair / replace extrusion process line equipment as needed to ensure safe and efficient operation.
• Prioritize breakdowns based on the input from production.
• Troubleshoot equipment problems in coordinated effort with production personnel.
• Ensuring work orders are completed in a timely fashion and all parts used are accounted for.
• Responsible for ensuring all equipment is diagnosed and repaired in a timely manner or elevating to the Maintenance Manager level when the repairs will take longer than allotted time.
• Performs preventive maintenance inspections and service on machines.
• Thoroughly cleans machines and machine parts, removing parts and reinstalling as necessary.
• Oils and lubricates moving parts on machines to ensure effective performance.
• Records and reports damaged, worn, or broken parts.
• Identifies the causes of unexpected breakdowns of machines.
• Cleans, organizes, inventories, stocks, and otherwise maintains shop areas, parts, tools, and supplies.
• Coordinates with managers to schedule regular maintenance on machines.
• Collaborates with production manager or plant engineer regarding new products being added and modifications that will be required.
• Makes necessary modifications and implements tests runs; confers with production manager regarding test results and makes additional alterations to machinery as required.

Skills Required

• Understands electrical diagrams, familiar with 12 VDC to 480 VAC electrical wiring, with diagnostic capability.
• Previous experience with PLC’s, VFD’s, and relay-based logic.
• Multi discipline mechanical, electrical, HVAC skills and the ability to quickly learn new process/equipment.
• Effective communication, observation, planning, writing, reading, basic math, problem solving and prioritizing skills.
• Proficient computer skills to receive/close work orders, view/search different folders for manual, notes and/or documents.
• Demonstrated good house keeping practices and 5S principles.
• Mechanically inclined with great problem-solving skills.
• Works well independently and with others.
• Good communication skills.
• Organized with attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and stressful environment.

Education And Experience

• 3-5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment with a track record of improvements.
• 3-5 years’ experience in a maintenance environment with a track record of improvements.
• Some vocational or community college with related coursework or equivalent experience, preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods standing and walking.
• Able to bend, stretch, push, pull, and move as needed to reach, clean, and service machinery.
• Must be able to visually inspect machines.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
