Job summary

SDK Millbridge Gardens in Clementon, NJ seeks a full-time Maintenance Technician to keep community facilities in excellent condition. On-call duties and a rotating Saturday schedule are part of the role, with a focus on timely response to resident needs.

Ideal candidates will have 3–5 years of progressive building maintenance experience, strong skills across plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and related trades, and reliable transportation.

• Licenses strongly preferred.
• Expertise in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, locksmithing, painting, drywall repair, and snow removal.

SDK Millbridge Gardens is seeking a full-time skilled and knowledgeable Maintenance Technician to join our committed team dedicated to ensuring the safety and excellent condition of our community.

Embracing the SDK philosophy, our maintenance technicians are committed to providing residents with exceptional service, emphasizing respect, understanding, and comfort in every home they service.

This position is based in Clementon, NJ with on-call and snow hour requirements. Our maintenance technicians work a rotating Saturday schedule.

About the Position

As one of our more skilled maintenance technicians, you will…

• Model behavior that is aligned with SDK values when interacting with anyone associated with SDK.
• Complete service issues related to boiler/HVAC, plumbing, and general repairs.
• Ensure preventive and regularly scheduled maintenance procedures are completed.
• Ensure all procedures related to apartment unit turnovers are completed in a timely manner.
• Install, replace or repair damaged or new equipment and appliances.
• Complete carpentry, tiling and painting as needed.
• Be on-call to address urgent resident matters after regular work hours.
• Aim to resolve service requests within 24 hours, as much as possible, following established work order procedures; communicate effectively with the team on progress and roadblocks.
• Maintain accurate records regarding preventative maintenance, service requests, apartment make-ready status, and work in progress items.
• Collaborate with the property team members to maintain a safe community.
• When needed, be responsible for routine grounds and property maintenance, including but not limited to, trash removal, general cleaning and snow removal.
• Address ad hoc projects as assigned.

About Your Professional Background & Skills

• A minimum of 3 - 5 years of progressive building maintenance experience, preferably in a multifamily environment.
• Related licenses strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated expertise in general plumbing, electrical, carpentry, locksmithing, painting, dry-wall repair, and snow removal.
• Exceptional customer service, interpersonal and follow through skills.
• Available for on-call emergency services on an as-needed basis.
• Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
• Possess stellar references and stable work history.
• Must be able to work with any employer in the US without any restrictions whatsoever.

The gross hourly pay range for this position is between $24-$26. The actual compensation within the range will be based on factors unique to the candidate, including direct years of experience and depth of knowledge.
