Job summary

Housing Visions Unlimited, Inc is seeking a Maintenance Technician for our Utica office at 1229 Kemble St. This is a Full Time, benefit-eligible position, Monday – Thursday 7:00 am - 4:30pm, Friday 7:00am-11:00am. Must be available for rotating on-call evenings and weekends.

Salary range is $21-$24/hr DOE. Sign on bonus $2,500.00. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the technician will perform electrical, plumbing, carpentry and general building maintenance and repair of Housing Visions

Qualifications

• Experience in electrical, plumbing, and carpentry tasks relevant to residential maintenance.
• Ability to perform general building repairs and preventative upkeep.
• Flexibility to rotate on-call evenings and weekends as part of the maintenance schedule.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical, plumbing, carpentry and general building maintenance and repair for Housing Visions residential units.
• Respond to maintenance requests and ensure units are safe and functional.
• On-call duties evenings and weekends as part of rotation.

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Maintenance Technician will perform a wide variety of electrical, plumbing, carpentry and general building maintenance and repair functions related to the care and maintenance of Housing Visions residential units. Occasional night and weekend hours; also must take on call hours on rotation.
