Job summary

Jobot is seeking a dependable Maintenance Technician to perform hands-on maintenance, repair, and renovation tasks in our New Rochelle properties. The role focuses on reliable workmanship, problem solving, and keeping building systems in good condition.

You will handle plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, drywall, and related tasks, with opportunities to contribute to preventive maintenance and project turnover.

Qualifications

• Experience in building or facilities maintenance.
• Proficient in basic plumbing, electrical troubleshooting, carpentry, painting, and drywall repair.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on plumbing, lighting, doors, locks, and other fixtures.
• Troubleshoot issues and complete repairs within your training scope.
• Paint, patch drywall, caulk, and do minor carpentry and flooring repairs.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and identify safety concerns.
• Assist with turnover, renovations, and punch‑list tasks.
• Respond to work orders, prioritize requests, and document work done.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and tidy work areas.
• Coordinate with supervisors and outside contractors when needed.
• Follow safety procedures and minimize disruption to occupants.

Job Details

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs involving plumbing fixtures, lighting, doors, locks, hardware, and other building components.
• Troubleshoot maintenance issues and complete repairs within the scope of your training and qualifications.
• Handle painting, drywall patching, caulking, minor carpentry, and flooring repairs.
• Conduct preventive maintenance inspections and identify safety concerns or needed repairs.
• Assist with property turnover preparation, renovation projects, and punch‑list completion.
• Respond to work orders, prioritize requests, and document completed work.
• Maintain tools, equipment, supplies, and clean, organized work areas.
• Coordinate with supervisors and outside contractors when specialized repairs are needed.
• Follow safety procedures and minimize disruption to building occupants.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in building maintenance, facilities maintenance, apartment maintenance, or a related trade.
• Working knowledge of general plumbing, basic electrical troubleshooting, carpentry, painting, and drywall repair.
• Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently.
• Dependable attendance, attention to detail, and a customer service mindset.
• Ability to perform physical maintenance tasks, including standing, bending, climbing ladders, and moving materials.
• HVAC experience or relevant trade certifications are a plus.
