Maintenance Technician

Summary of Job

Perform a wide variety of skilled maintenance work on our converting, printing and extruding equipment and various other industrial equipment, as well as general repairs to building and grounds. Emphasis on good analytical skills and ability to source other/outside resources to resolve issues, troubleshoot and repair electrical/electronic and mechanical problems; repairing and replacing faulty components or parts, installing new machines and equipment, performing preventative maintenance on equipment, maintaining parts and supplies inventories.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

Emphasis on good safe work practices and familiarity with safety procedures. Solid communication skills and the ability to work well with others.
Good analytical skill set and a sense of urgency when it comes to completing work.
Perform reactionary maintenance (i.e. repair machines, equipment, etc., when required, as such goes down).
Preventative maintenance can carry out tasks and responsibilities associated with maintenance of equipment, building and grounds, etc.
Plan and carry out tasks and responsibilities associated with special projects on existing or new equipment or facilities. Assumes responsibility for managing projects as assigned.
Perform most types of tool & die and fixture jobs.
Miscellaneous duties projects and responsibilities as assigned.
Ability to learn how to troubleshoot and repair electrical/electronic systems and control circuits.
Ability to solve mechanical problems; repairing and replacing faulty components or parts, installing new machines and equipment, and performing preventative maintenance on equipment.

Attend meetings and complete safety training as required. Report all hazardous conditions to the Lead, Operations Supervisor, or Plant Manager immediately for corrective action.
Report any accident, incident or near miss to the Team Lead, Supervisor, or Plant Manager.
May be assigned to different production lines and areas as needed per company demand.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned
