Job summary

Ontario Center for Rehabilitation and Healthcare in Canandaigua, NY is seeking a qualified Maintenance Technician to join our facility team. You will assist with regular inspections, maintain HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and respond to staff and resident requests to keep rooms and common areas in top condition.

The role requires on-call flexibility, a strong work ethic, basic leadership experience, and proficiency in MS Office.

Qualifications

• Min. high school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong work ethic, initiative for quality service.
• On-call availability rotating weekends and off-hours.
• Solid computer skills; MS Office knowledge.
• Extensive experience in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry and general maintenance.
• Ability to multi-task and stay focused in stressful situations.
• Leadership and supervision capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with regular facility and equipment inspections for safety and upkeep.
• Maintain HVAC system, plumbing, and electrical installations/repairs.
• Respond to maintenance requests by staff and residents.
• Repair and maintain vacated rooms promptly.
• Be available for emergency troubleshooting and repairs.

Ontario Center is hiring a Maintenance Technician in Canandaigua, NY.

Duties Include:

• Assist with regular facility & equipment inspections for safety, upkeep, appearance.

• Assist with maintenance of HVAC system, plumbing electrical installation/repairs

• Responding to maintenance requests by Staff & Residents.

• Repairing and maintaining vacated rooms in a timely manner.

• Be available for emergency troubleshooting & repairs of equipment.

• Ensure that all equipment is clean and in working condition at all times.

• Ensure all work is done in accordance with State/Federal & OSHA standards.

Requirements Include:

• Min. high school diploma or equivalent.

• Strong work ethic, intense drive, initiative for quality service.

• Rotating off-hour/weekend on-call availability and schedule flexibility is a must.

• Solid computer skills; working knowledge of MS Office.

• Extensive experience in HVAC, plumbing, electric, carpentry & general maintenance.

• Ability to multi-task / stay on task & maintain focus in stressful situations.

• Evidence of basic leadership skills and supervision.
