Job summary

The Center for Disability Services is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform maintenance and repair work across a range of areas including plumbing, carpentry, painting, HVAC, electrical, and grounds keeping. You will support residents, staff, and visitors by ensuring safety, functionality, and comfort with high-quality workmanship.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid NYS driver's license, and at least 1 year of related experience.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• NYS Driver's license in good standing.
• At least 1 year of job-related experience in maintenance areas.
• In lieu of 1 year, completion of a building trade/technical program accepted.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Performs major maintenance projects and repairs in listed areas.
• Provides labor and expertise focusing on safety, functionality, and comfort of residents, staff, and visitors.
• Works under general supervision with some latitude for creativity.

The Maintenance Technician is knowledgeable of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
