## Maintenance TechnicianApplylocations: Chicago, ILtime type: Full timeposted on: Posted Yesterdayjob requisition id: R-2238**Position Title:** Maintenance Technician**Position Summary*** Provide repair and maintenance support in the mechanical, electrical and instrumentation areas of the facility.* Perform preventive maintenance service.**Position Scope*** Scope is specific to Chicago Oleo Plant**Essential Duties and Responsibilities*** Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs of plant wide equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.* Performs mechanical skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of plant wide equipment.* Reads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.* Comply with OSHA safety and health rules.* Repair and maintain mechanical electrical and instrumentation equipment in the facility as directed by supervisor.* Perform routine preventative maintenance on various equipment.* Use hand and power tools as required to perform routine equipment maintenance functions.* Use powered Man lifts (Eg JLG’s) and Scissor lifts to gain safe access to equipment.* Transport and lift equipment using forklift trucks and other specialist equipment.* Certify plant instruments following established ISO guidelines.* Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical/instrumentation problems, diagnose faults and carry out repairs.* Always follow all safety procedures.* Install new equipment as required.* Maintain and upgrade plant facilities as required.* Desire to train and increase skill levels in other areas from core skill eg.
