Job summary

Givens is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join its facilities team in Chesapeake, VA. The role focuses on general maintenance, repairs, and upkeep of buildings and equipment across the property.

You will troubleshoot electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and painting issues, select proper tools, and maintain a clean, safe work environment. The position requires climbing ladders, working at heights, and lifting up to 75 lbs, with at least 1 year of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Must not be afraid of heights; ability to climb ladders and work in elevated areas is essential.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in general building maintenance, including work with electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and painting.
• Must be physically capable of standing, bending, stooping, kneeling, and lifting up to 75 lbs.
• Must be comfortable working in physically demanding and sometimes uncomfortable positions.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance, repairs, and upkeep of buildings and equipment across Givens property.

• Take periodic inventory of maintenance tools and supplies.
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely project completion.
• Work independently when required and manage time effectively.
