Job summary

The Health Center at Standifer Place in Chattanooga, TN is seeking a maintenance worker for the 2nd shift (3:00 pm–11:00 pm, Mon–Fri). You will coordinate maintenance with nursing, perform preventive inspections, and assist with repairs and moving furniture to ensure resident comfort.

Requirements include a high school diploma, 5+ years in healthcare or building maintenance, ability to follow oral and written instructions, and the ability to work well with residents and staff.

Job Functions:

• Coordinate daily maintenance services with nursing services when performing routine assignments in resident living areas.


• Perform preventive maintenance inspections and tasks as scheduled.


• Assist with all repairs, refurbishing projects, and furniture/equipment moving.


• Assist with safety inspections, tests, and drills, as requested.


• Complete work requests accurately and in a timely manner


• Ensure maintenance supplies have been replenished in work areas as necessary.


• Ensure that the facility and its equipment are properly maintained for resident comfort and convenience.


• Report equipment malfunctions or breakdowns to your supervisor as soon as possible.


• Ensure that equipment is cleaned and properly stored at the end of the shift.

• Shift is 2nd shift and hours are 3p-11p Monday-Friday

Requirements:

• Be a high school graduate

• 5 years relevant experience in healthcare and/or hospital maintenance/Building maintenance
