East Ridge Village is seeking a Full-Time Maintenance Technician I to oversee the physical plant, perform preventive maintenance, routine servicing, and repairs. You will help with heating/cooling systems, plumbing, electrical work, and related building tasks essential to resident safety and comfort.
The role requires at least one year of maintenance experience, basic technical schooling preferred, and a commitment to maintaining a clean, safe living environment for residents.
The Maintenance Technician I is responsible for maintaining all aspects of the
physical plant by conducting preventive maintenance, routine servicing, seasonal
repairs and changes, building equipment, and plumbing repairs.
The following duties are normal for this position. This list is not to be construed as

Performs the following maintenance duties:
General maintenance duties such as fixing wall covers, floor covers
and some furniture and fixtures, light plumbing work, minor electrical
repair and appliance repairs.
Routine preventive maintenance and painting and refurbishing
projects, as directed by the Facilities Manager.
Minor building and equipment repairs.
Assists with work on heating and air conditioning systems, domestic water
systems, refrigeration systems, pumps, motors, fans, electrical systems and
emergency generators.
Maintain and operate small construction machinery.
Concrete Flatwork Repair.
Interior Renovation.
Ensures community grounds and walkways are free of trash, debris, and
hazards.
Maintains the appearance of outdoor signs, parking lot lines, center road
lines and direction of travel indicators.
Responsible for removal efforts during emergency events.
Moves office furniture, machinery, equipment, and other materials as
requested.
Maintains all tools, equipment, and supplies in proper condition.
Responds to all fire alarms and assists in the evacuation of residents when
needed.
Attends in-service training and education sessions, as assigned
High school diploma or equivalent. Technical Schooling and/or background
preferred.
Experience within a nursing facility
One year's experience in maintenance field required.
Experience with appliances, security and sprinkler systems, lifeline systems, fire
alarms, plumbing, heating, electric and/or any other related repair or
maintenance is preferred
