Job summary

Charlottesville-Albemarle Airport Authority is seeking a maintenance professional to perform general facility upkeep, including repairs, painting, carpentry, plumbing, and cleaning at the airport. The role includes on-call snow removal duties and will be part of the Aircraft and Firefighting team, with fire training provided.

Salary details reflect full-time compensation with benefits. Available shift is Wednesday to Saturday, 2:00 PM to 12:00 Midnight.

Qualifications

• Must have practical maintenance skills including general repairs, painting, carpentry and plumbing.
• Experience with building maintenance is preferred.
• Ability to perform cleaning tasks and basic facility upkeep.
• On-call availability for snow removal operations during winter months.

Responsibilities

• Perform general building maintenance such as repairs to facilities, painting, routine carpentry, minor plumbing and cleaning.
• Be on-call for snow removal operations as required by the Airport Authority.

Our Maintenance Team needs the right person to join them to provide maintenance at the airport. Responsibilities to include all aspects of performing general building maintenance functions such as repairs to the facilities, painting, routine carpentry, minor plumbing and general cleaning. The maintenance team is required to be on-call for snow removal operations.

This position will be a member of the Aircraft and Firefighting team. Fire and rescue training is provided by the airport. Upon successful completion of the fire training, you will receive an annual salary increase of $5,200.

Available shift: Wednesday - Saturday 2:00 PM - 12:00 Midnight. Applications accepted until filled.

Hourly rate: $22.87- $30.17 (based on experience).

Benefits for full-time employees include health care coverage with 100% of employee's coverage currently paid by the Authority, retirement and life insurance coverage in the Virginia Retirement System, two weeks paid leave and thirteen paid holidays.

The applicant must successfully complete required fingerprint-based criminal history records check, employment background check, pass a pre-employment drug screening and possess a valid Virginia driver's license with driving record insurable by Authority's automobile liability carrier.

Salary: $47567.08 - $62763.75 per year
