Job summary

Habitat America, LLC is seeking an entry level full time Maintenance Technician in Chambersburg, PA for Tower at Falling Spring Apartments, a senior (62+) community. Training is provided; prior experience helpful but not required, with focus on appliance repairs, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, drywall, and painting.

The role covers general apartment maintenance, unit turnovers, and after-hours on-call rotation, reporting to the Community Manager.

Qualifications

• Energetic, self-motivated individual who is able to work as a team.
• Prior apartment maintenance experience is desired but not required; appliance troubleshooting, light plumbing, drywall, and painting.
• Willing to train the right person! Entry level skill set is all that is required.
• HVAC/CFC Certification is preferred
• Must be able to understand and oversee work performed by contractors
• Must have a pleasant and professional demeanor at all times
• Must have reliable transportation and valid driver's license
• Requires extensive mobility and excellent physical condition
• Must be able and willing to work weekends and be part of an on-call rotation

Habitat America, LLC is seeking an entry level full time Maintenance Technician in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania for Tower at Falling Spring Apartments, a beautiful senior (62+) apartment community! This fast growing, property management company is largely based in the Mid-Atlantic region.

Applicants who are qualified for this position have prior apartment maintenance experience is a plus, but not required. Will train the right candidate! Experience with appliance repairs, general carpentry, basic plumbing, basic electrical work, drywall and painting is needed. HVAC & CFC certifications are desired but not required! It is imperative that the Maintenance Technician be able to work independently and also as a member of a team.

This position is responsible for all technical matters related to general apartment maintenance. In addition to technical maintenance tickets, this position will assist with unit turnovers and be part of the after-hours on-call rotation. The Maintenance Technician directly reports to the Community Manager. Hourly wage is dependent on experience and certification.
