Job summary

Ducommun Incorporated in Carson, CA is seeking a Maintenance Technician responsible for routine building maintenance across electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry tasks. Duties include wiring, fixture replacement, minor repairs, CAD familiarity, and space reconfigurations to maximize office space.

The role requires HS diploma or GED, strong English communication, and willingness to work flexible hours. On-call availability and coordination with the Facilities team are expected.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform minor electrical maintenance (fixtures, outlets, lights).
• Perform minor plumbing maintenance (drains, leaks, hoses).
• Perform minor painting, carpentry, masonry work.
• Some experience with 3D CAD software.
• Reconfigure and position modular offices to optimize space.
• Order parts and maintain required documents.
• Manage maintenance software (FMX) and inventory; generate reports.
• Manage vendors list and sign-off on vendor work orders.
• Occasionally available for on-call.
• Assist Facility/Maintenance Manager.

Maintenance Technician

Responsiblefor performing routine building maintenance tasks. Performance of buildingmaintenance tasks in one or more fields (e.g. carpentry, electrical, heating,ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) and plumbing, etc). Perform generalcleaning. Perform other tasks as assigned.

Job Summary

• Perform minor electrical maintenance to include but not limited to replacement or repair of fixtures (e.g. wall switches and outlets, light fixtures and ballast, minor appliances, cords, etc) using appropriate hand, power, and specialty tools
  
• Performs minor plumbing maintenance (e.g. replacement or repair of leaks in drains and faucets, unclogging of drains, replacing drain hoses on washers and similar devices, etc.)
  
• Performs minor painting, carpentry, and masonry work (e.g. preparing surfaces and using brush, sprayer, or roller to apply paints, stains, and varnishes, hanging doors, fitting locks and handles, etc)
  
• Some experience with 3D CAD software
  
• Reconfigures, installs, and positions modular officesand space to accommodate user needs and maximize office space using varioushand, power, and specialty tools, dollies, and hand trucks
• Order parts and maintain required documents
  
• Manage maintenance software (FMX) (e.g. input or WO, close out WO, manage inventory, and generate report, etc)
  
• Manage vendors list (e.g. contact vendors as needed, oversee vendor’s work performance, and sign-off on vendor WO, etc)
  
• Occasionally availability for on-call
  
• Assist Facility/Maintenance Manager
