Job summary

NRP Group is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Austin, TX to perform general maintenance, groundskeeping, and housekeeping duties while addressing resident service requests. The role reports to the Maintenance Supervisor and Community Manager.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, 3–4 years of maintenance experience, and a valid driver's license. CFC Universal Certification is preferred and must be obtained within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, repairs, inspections, and janitorial services as assigned.
• Assist with maintenance of storage areas and maintenance materials.
• Carry out refurbishing and renovation of apartments to company standards.
• Walk the property daily to monitor curb appeal and apartment conditions.
• Notify the Community Manager of safety concerns and attend safety meetings.
• Maintain accurate records of all completed tasks.
• Manage maintenance aspects of the community during the Maintenance Supervisor’s absence, including staff and vendor scheduling, supply ordering, and collaboration with the Community Manager on improvements.
• Complete all service requests consistently with company standards.
• Be available for weekend work, on‑call duties, and after‑hours emergency service requests (24/7) as scheduled.
• Assist at other properties and run errands to support the community as needed.

Working under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor and Community Manager, the technician performs general maintenance, groundskeeping, and housekeeping duties, ensuring curb appeal and apartment quality while responding to resident service requests.
