Maintenance Technician

The Maintenance Technician assists in carrying out maintenance processes, including corrective, preventative, routine, emergency, and cosmetic work. Responsibilities include supporting the make-ready process under supervision, responding to work orders, maintaining community grounds and amenities, performing pool maintenance, conducting inspections, and ensuring safety standards.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Respond to maintenance requests promptly and perform repairs in community areas and units.
  • Assist with scheduling and executing maintenance and turn events.
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety of grounds, common areas, and facilities.
  • Perform pool maintenance and chemical logging.
  • Inspect property daily to identify hazards and ensure safety compliance.
  • Support preventative maintenance programs to extend property lifespan.
  • Maintain organized maintenance shop adhering to safety standards.
  • Assist in inventory management and record-keeping for maintenance activities.
  • Participate in emergency on-call duties and unit inspections.
  • Provide excellent customer service and foster positive resident relations.
Education & Experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with on-site software.
  • Knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA standards.
Physical Requirements
  • Regular movement, including climbing ladders, working in confined spaces, and lifting objects over 100 lbs.
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including nights and weekends.
Licenses & Equipment
  • Reliable transportation for emergency on-call duties.
