Role Description

The Maintenance Technician role is a full-time, on-site position located in Lansing, MI, supporting day-to-day operations at a residential property. The Maintenance Technician will perform routine and emergency maintenance, including diagnosing issues, conducting repairs, and completing preventive maintenance on building systems, equipment, and apartment units. Responsibilities include responding to work orders, maintaining common areas, performing unit turns, and ensuring safety and regulatory compliance. • Candidates should possess strong skills in Equipment Maintenance, Maintenance & Repair, and Industrial Maintenance.
• Candidates should possess strong skills in Troubleshooting and diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues.
• Candidates should possess strong skills in Preventive Maintenance, including scheduled inspections and routine servicing of building systems.
• Basic knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry in a residential or commercial setting is beneficial.
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively, and to follow all safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
• Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and time management skills, with the capacity to work independently and as part of a team.
• Previous property management or multifamily housing maintenance experience is preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent; relevant technical certifications or trade training are a plus.
