Conifer Realty is seeking a Maintenance Technician for Atlantic City, NJ, to keep our affordable housing communities in top condition. The role emphasizes safety, quality workmanship, and reliable service to residents.

You will perform routine maintenance, assist with groundskeeping, and participate in on-call rotations. A strong work ethic, problem-solving skills, and communication with residents are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of apartment, residential, or facilities maintenance experience (painting, drywall, plumbing, electrical, flooring; HVAC experience a plus).
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. regularly and up to 100 lbs. occasionally.
• Reliable transportation and flexibility to cover overtime or nearby communities.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventative maintenance (painting, drywall, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, cleaning).
• Maintain grounds and snow/ice removal to keep curb appeal.
• Respond to work orders promptly; rotate for emergency on-call coverage.
• Follow safety standards and inspect regulations with precision.
• Collaborate with peers and residents, providing empathetic service.

Salary: $25.00 - $27.00 | Full-Time | Monday–Friday, 40hrs | On-Call Rotation

What You’ll Bring as a Maintenance Technician

You’re skilled, dependable, and care about doing the job right. You bring:

• 2+ years of apartment, residential, or facilities maintenance experience (painting, drywall, plumbing, electrical, flooring; HVAC experience a plus).
• A high school diploma or GED.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. regularly and up to 100 lbs. occasionally.
• Reliable transportation and flexibility to cover overtime or nearby communities when needed.
• Basic computer or mobile-app skills for work orders, timekeeping, and training (we’ll train you!).
• Strong communication and customer-service skills
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) skills, a plus that helps connect with our residents!

Requirements

Work schedules may include Saturdays, based on property performance needs such as occupancy levels, leasing activity, and rent collections.

When required, weekend coverage will be scheduled on a rotating basis and aligned with business priorities.

Employees are expected to support leasing efforts, resident engagement, and rent collection activities during scheduled weekend hours.
