Job summary

Kito Crosby in Arlington, TX is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform diverse maintenance tasks, install, troubleshoot, and maintain equipment, and develop predictive maintenance practices to maximize uptime.

Job Summary:


Performs a variety of maintenance tasks requiring knowledge of multiple skilled trades. Requires the ability to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain equipment, electronic and/or computerized controls and systems, electrical systems, etc. Develops and utilizes predictive maintenance tools to predict and correct issues before downtime would have occurred and maximize equipment availability and reliability. Must be self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership and a relentless, poka yoke, continuous improvement, never good enough, injury-free workplace mindset.


Principal Duties and Responsibilities (Essential):



  1. Establish, document, and execute preventive maintenance and calibration programs.

  2. Perform periodic preventive maintenance on equipment.

  3. Develop and implement predictive maintenance tools and techniques to maximize equipment availability.

  4. Perform calibrations.

  5. Troubleshoot and repair, or replace electrical, mechanical, and/or computerized systems.

  6. Read and understand prints, schematics, diagrams, and technical manuals to determine methods and sequence for repairing machinery and equipment.

  7. Assemble and repair electromechanical assemblies using meters, gauges, power tools, hand tools, lifting devices and drawings.

  8. Prepare parts sketches and write work orders.

  9. Determine, order, and maintain cost effective spares inventory.

  10. Investigate equipment failures and malfunctions. Communicate with technical experts to resolve intermittent malfunction or failure of equipment or systems.

  11. Installation, testing, and qualification of new equipment, wiring, cabling, lines, hoses, conduit, etc.

  12. Relocate, reinstall, and requalify equipment, wiring, cabling, lines, hoses, conduit, etc.

  13. Maintain preventative maintenance logs and equipment manuals.

  14. Document all testing of equipment and electronic systems.

  15. Strict adherence to all safety procedures.


Job Specifications (Work Experience, Skills, Abilities, etc.):



  • 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing and or warehousing environment.

  • Experience with preventive maintenance and repair of forklifts, motorized pallet jacks, industrial batteries and charging equipment, hoists, dock equipment, scales, motorized conveyors, and welding desired.

  • Knowledge of warehouse management software, databases, and MS Office

  • Ability to input, retrieve, and mine data, and turn it into actionable information.

  • Proven ability to direct and coordinate operations.

  • Strong organizational skills.

  • Bilingual (English and Spanish) preferred


Education Requirements:


High School/GED required. Vocational school preferred.


Physical Demands/Environmental Conditions:


Normal office and warehouse conditions. Office located in a one-story office building. Job demands may require long periods of sitting, telephone work and/or computer work, as well as interaction with other people. Normal office conditions include walking, standing, bending, kneeling, climbing stairs, lifting, driving and/or traveling.


High exposure to shop conditions, which are variable depending on the task assigned, but are generally dirty. Is subject to shop noise. Involves extensive standing and walking. Skin and eyes are subject to drying and irritating fumes, vapors and solutions controlled to OSHA standards. Works both in and out of doors, normally indoors, with sometimes dusty or confining work areas when in the shop/lab.
