Job summary

Monahan Filaments, LLC is seeking a reliable Maintenance Technician for our night shift at the extrusion facility. You will keep extruders, quench tanks, ovens, and collection reels running safely and efficiently with emphasis on mechanical upkeep and electrical troubleshooting.

Requirements include 2–4 years of industrial maintenance experience, basic electrical diagnostics, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. High school diploma or GED required; HVAC/industrial tech training preferred.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of hands-on industrial maintenance experience in plastics or extrusion.
• Basic electrical diagnostics including multimeter use and single/three-phase circuits.
• Must be able to stand, bend, climb, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Vocational or technical training in industrial maintenance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Repair and troubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic, and basic hydraulic issues on extrusion lines.
• Provide electrical support, replacing heater bands and checking control circuits.
• Conduct scheduled preventative maintenance and lubricate moving parts.
• Respond quickly to line stoppages and mechanical jams to restore production.
• Maintain safety compliance, LOTO and Arc Flash procedures, and a clean workspace.

Job description

We are seeking a reliable Maintenance Technician to support our monofilament extrusion facility on our night shift. You will keep our extruders, quench tanks, ovens and collection reels running safely and efficiently. This role focuses heavily on mechanical upkeep with foundational electrical trouble‑sh‑

Key responsibilities:

• Equipment repair: Troubleshoot and fix mechanical, pneumatic, and basic hydraulic issues on extrusion lines
• Electrical support: Diagnose & repair basic electrical components, including replacing heater bands, checking low-voltage control circuits, &safely working with industrial power up to 480V
• Preventative maintenance: Conduct scheduled checks, lubricate moving parts, and align rollers
• Emergency response: Respond quickly to line stoppages, breakage causes or mechanical jams to restore production
• Safety compliance: Adhere strictly to all safety protocols, especially Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and Arc Flash as well as maintain a clean workspace

Qualifications:

• Experience: 2-4 years of hands-on industrial manufacturing maintenance experience, ideally working with plastics processing or extrusion machinery
• Electrical skills: Demonstrated working knowledge of basic electrical diagnostics (multimeter use, reading wiring schematics, and troubleshooting single/three-phase circuits)
• Physical demands: Ability to stand for long periods, bend, climb, and lift up to 50 lbs
• Education: High school diploma or GED; vocational or technical training in industrial maintenance is preferred

Schedule:

6pm- 6:30am standard 4 days/week; some overtime weeks of 5 days/week
