Job summary

CJ Lombardo Company in Antioch, CA is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician to join our team. This full-time, in-person role focuses on maintaining equipment, repairing apartments, and supporting turnovers.

You will service HVAC units (certification a plus), perform carpentry, drywall, painting, plumbing, and minor electrical tasks while delivering top-tier tenant service. Must have your own tools and reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• HVAC servicing ability; certification a plus but could be acquired later.
• Own tools and reliable transportation.
• Must live in close proximity to the Antioch area.
• Strong customer service ability and decision‑making skills.
• Ability to multitask between make‑ready units and occupied unit service calls.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance across units and common areas.
• Handle apartment repairs and make‑ready turnovers.
• Respond to maintenance issues in occupied units.
• Maintain halls, grounds, and parking areas.
• Collaborate with leasing staff to prepare apartments for move-in and deliver a top quality finished product.
• Rotate with other maintenance personnel for being on call.

Maintenance Technician (Full-Time)

Pay: $25.00 – $29.00+ per hour starting salary(based on experience and skill level).

Benefits: Single health coverage after 90 days.

Housing option available (slightly reduced hourly rate with free apartment if required).

We are seeking a hands‑on Maintenance Technician to join our team immediately. This is a key position for someone who can perform maintenance operations, handle apartment repairs, and become an integral part of a team.

Requirements:

• HVAC - must be able to service resident’s HVAC units. Certification a plus but could be acquired later. Knowledge of heat pumps a bonus.
• Must have own tools and reliable transportation.
• Must live in close proximity to the Antioch area.
• Strong customer service ability and decision‑making skills.
• Ability to multitask between make‑ready units and occupied unit service calls.
• Professional attitude with tenants and other team members.

Core Skills:

• Carpentry/Cabinet Installation/door replacement, hardware, etc.
• Drywall (installation and sheetrock repair).
• Painting when needed.
• Plumbing (kitchens, bathrooms, toilets, clogs, faucets, shut‑offs).
• Minor Electrical (outlets, fixtures, GFI, breakers).
• Ceiling Repairs (leak repair, opening, professional‑grade patching.)
• Window and Door Repair.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Assist with unit turnovers (“make‑ready” units).
• Respond to maintenance issues in occupied units.
• Perform general maintenance of halls, grounds, and parking areas.
• Work diligently with office leasing staff and other team members to prepare apartments and deliver a top quality finished product.
• Rotate with other maintenance personnel for being "on call".
