Job summary

AHL Healthcare Group is seeking a Property Maintenance Technician to service its Metro-area group homes. You will perform repairs, install appliances and flooring, paint, and conduct routine / scheduled maintenance across multiple properties with a focus on safety and reliability.

Requirements include knowledge of electrical, plumbing, heating and renovation tasks; 18+ with MN DHS background check and MVR; valid driver’s license; and willingness to be on-call for emergencies.

Qualifications

• 18 years or older.
• Pass a MN DHS background study.
• Pass a MVR check.
• Comprehensive knowledge of plumbing, heating, HVAC, electrical systems.
• Physical ability to bend, crouch, and lift objects throughout the workday.
• Ability to plan projects and make decisions.
• Documentation of maintenance tasks and inspections.
• Valid driver's license with reliable transportation.
• Available afterhours for emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Complete routine and scheduled maintenance across all properties in a timely manner.
• Perform repairs and install light fixtures, ceiling fans, plumbing fixtures, and household appliances.
• Diagnose and repair building heat, electricity, and water systems; manage water softener salt deliveries.
• Replace interior and exterior doors and windows.
• Repair and refurbish flooring (carpet, wood, vinyl, linoleum, tile).
• Maintain exterior of homes and outdoor structures; repair decks, stairs, fences.
• Be on-call to respond to emergencies.

We are currently looking for a dynamic and driven individual to join AHL Healthcare Group as a Property Maintenance Technician. In this position, you will be responsible for servicing AHL group homes in the Metro. You will be conducting repairs, installing appliances and flooring, painting, waste disposal, performing scheduled maintenance tasks, and assisting with major projects within the organization as required. Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, heating and renovation tasks is essential.

Location:

• Metro

Schedule:

• Full-Time
• Monday through Friday
• 8am to 4:30pm with half hour lunch break
• Some on-call for emergencies

Compensation:

• $26.00-$28.00 an hour depending on experience

Job Duties:

• Complete routine and scheduled maintenance across all properties in a timely manner
• Perform repairs, installations of light fixtures, ceiling fans, plumbing fixtures and all house hold appliances
• Diagnose and repair problems with building heat, electricity, and water systems to include purchasing and delivering water softener salt monthly to all metro properties
• Replace both interior and exterior doors and windows
• Repair flooring from stretching carpet to full replacement and repair to include wood, vinyl, linoleum, stone and tile and carpeting
• Maintain exterior of homes as needed
• Repair, replace and build outdoor decks, stairs, and fences
• Be on-call to respond to emergency issues

Requirements:

• 18 years or older
• Pass a MN DHS background study
• Pass a MVR check
• Comprehensive knowledge of plumbing, heating, HVAC, electrical systems
• Physical ability to bend, crouch, and lift objects throughout the workday
• Managing and reviewing the maintenance requests the planning and prioritizing work
• Documentation of property safety concerns and inspections
• Valid driver's license with access to reliable transportation
• Available afterhours for emergencies
