Watergate at Landmark is seeking an Evening Maintenance Mechanic to keep common areas and building systems safe, clean, and fully functional. The role involves responding to emergency service calls during the scheduled shift and performing routine maintenance with minimal supervision.

The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting skills, a solid maintenance background, and the ability to communicate effectively with residents and internal teams while upholding safety standards.

Qualifications

• Strong equipment maintenance and general maintenance & repair skills applicable to residential and building systems.
• Demonstrated troubleshooting skills for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues in a multi-building environment.
• Knowledge of basic building codes, safety standards, and proper use of tools and maintenance equipment.
• Prior experience in property, facility, or residential maintenance is preferred.
• Ability to lift moderate weights, work on ladders, and perform physical tasks safely over the course of a shift.
• Reliable communication, time management, and record-keeping skills, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Role Description:

The Evening Maintenance Mechanic maintains the safety, appearance, and functionality of all common areas, building systems, lighting, and property amenities, and responds to emergency service calls during the scheduled shift. The ideal candidate is dependable, skilled, detail-oriented, and has strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. The position also requires sound technical judgment, adherence to safety standards/guidelines, and effective communication skills with residents and internal departments.

Experience Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; relevant technical training or certifications (e.g., HVAC, electrical, plumbing) are a plus.
• Minimum 2-4 years of basic maintenance experience dealing with residential building equipment

Other Requirements

• Must submit to background screening and drug testing.
• Must be of lawful age to operate all equipment necessary to perform essential job functions.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• Must be available on call as needed to assist with extreme weather conditions (e.g., snow remediation, power outages, etc.) or other property emergencies such as fires, floods, etc.
• Participate in company training regarding use of equipment, chemicals, and OSHA safety standards
