Job summary

Benedictine Living Community-Mother of Mercy in Albany, MN is seeking a Maintenance Technician I to perform custodial, groundskeeping and general maintenance tasks to keep the facility safe and well-maintained.

The role is full-time, days shift 8am-4:30pm, Monday through Friday with weekend work varying. Prior health-care environment and grounds maintenance experience preferred; valid driver's license required.

Qualifications

• Experience in a health care setting.
• Building and grounds maintenance experience.
• Valid Driver's License and acceptable driving record as per Benedictine requirements.

Responsibilities

• Performs general custodial tasks including trash removal, window/wall cleaning, moving furniture, and fill-in housekeeping duties.
• Performs floor care such as cleaning, buffing, stripping, waxing, and carpet cleaning throughout the facility.
• Assists with building maintenance and repairs on interior or exterior of facility.
• Assists with grounds maintenance, including lawn care and snow removal.
• Assists with general repairs to facility and residents' equipment.
• Operates hand and power tools and maintenance equipment safely.

Overview

The Maintenance Technician I is responsible for a variety of general custodial, groundskeeping, and general maintenance tasks that assure the facility, grounds and equipment are safe, well-maintained, and attractive in accordance with current Federal, State and local standards, guidelines and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Performs general custodial tasks including, but not limited to, removing trash, washing windows /walls, moving furniture and supplies and fill-in housekeeping duties if needed.
• Performs floor care such as cleaning, buffing, stripping, waxing, and carpet cleaning throughout the facility.
• Assists with building maintenance and construction work as needed on all surfaces, interior or exterior of facility.
• Assists with grounds maintenance, including but not limited to lawn care, snow removal.
• Assists with general repairs to facility and residents' equipment.
• Operates numerous hand and power tools, and may be required to use various machines, such as floor care, grounds-keeping, and maintenance equipment safely.

Qualifications
