You will learn from engineers, assist with installations, and work with management to improve energy efficiency and safety compliance across building systems.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or currently enrolled in a 2- or 4-year college program.
• Meet the physical requirements of the role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and lifting 50 lbs+.
• Able to develop skills to perform basic activities in own job.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate.

Responsibilities

• Receive training from current engineers on safety and repair procedures.
• Observe engineers while they perform preventive maintenance and repairs on facility systems and equipment.
• Assist with installation and modification of building equipment and systems.
• Support energy management by ensuring systems run efficiently.
• Inspect new or existing installations for building code and safety compliance.
• Follow established procedures for repetitive tasks.
• Perform duties with clearly defined steps and minimal discretion.

About the Role

Asa CBRE Maintenance Technical Apprentice, you will develop on the job skills tomaintain buildings, industrial systems, and equipment on an ongoing basis. Thisjob is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. They areresponsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs onequipment and systems.

What You’ll Do

• Receivetraining from current engineers in proper job safety and repair procedures.
• Observeengineers while they perform ongoing preventive maintenance and repairs onfacility mechanical, electrical, and other installed building systems,equipment, and facilities.
• Assistwith installation and modification of building equipment and systems.
• Workwith management to ensure energy management by taking measures to verify thatall systems are operating in the most efficient manner.
• Inspectnew or existing installations for compliance with building codes and safetyregulations.
• Followa set procedure in the performance of repetitive tasks or job activities.
• Impactthrough methods, tasks, and duties which are clearly defined and followed withlittle to no discretion.

What You’ll Need

• HighSchool Diploma, GED, or currently enrolled in a 2 or 4-year college program ortechnical school.

The minimum salary for the Maintenance Technical Mechanic Apprentice position is $40,000 annually and the maximum salary for the Maintenance Technical Mechanic Apprentice position is $42588 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience.
