CBRE is seeking a Maintenance Technical Apprentice to develop hands-on skills maintaining buildings, industrial systems, and equipment. You will learn under experienced engineers in safe repair practices and preventive maintenance across facility mechanical and electrical systems.

You’ll assist with installations and modifications, support energy management to improve efficiency, and help ensure compliance with building codes and safety regulations.

Competenze

• High School Diploma, GED, or enrolled in a 2- or 4-year college program or technical school.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks as required.
• Effective communication and teamwork.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.

About the Role:As a CBRE Maintenance Technical Apprentice, you will develop on the job skills to maintain buildings, industrial systems, and equipment on an ongoing basis.This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.

What You’ll Do:

• Receive training from current engineers in proper job safety and repair procedures.
• Observe engineers while they perform ongoing preventive maintenance and repairs on facility mechanical, electrical, and other installed building systems, equipment, and facilities.
• Assist with installation and modification of building equipment and systems.
• Work with management to ensure energy management by taking measures to verify that all systems are operating in the most efficient manner.
• Inspect new or existing installations for compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
• Follow a set procedure in the performance of repetitive tasks or job activities.
• Impact through methods, tasks, and duties which are clearly defined and followed with little to no discretion.

Qualifications

What You’ll Need:

• High School Diploma, GED, or currently enrolled in a 2 or 4-year college program or technical school.
• Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
• Ability to develop skills to perform basic activities in own job.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
• Organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
