Job summary

OWA Parks & Resort in Foley, AL, is seeking a Maintenance Tech for Tropic Hideaway RV Resort. You will perform routine maintenance and repairs across electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and general handyman tasks to keep sites and amenities safe and fully operational.

Join a team that maintains RV sites, utility hookups, and resort facilities such as the clubhouse, pool, bathhouses, and playground. Must be prepared for outdoor work and weekend/on-call shifts, with strong customer service and safety

Qualifications

• Experience in general maintenance in hospitality or similar settings.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work outdoors.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Willing to work weekends, holidays, and on-call as needed.
• Pool maintenance certification preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of irrigation systems and landscape maintenance.
• Equipment operation experience with power tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs across electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and general handyman tasks.

• Troubleshoot maintenance issues and recommend repairs or replacements.
• Maintain landscaped areas including mowing, trimming, irrigation, and groundskeeping.
• Ensure roads, sidewalks, and common areas are clean and hazard-free.
• Assist with emergency maintenance as needed.
• Operate maintenance equipment and tools safely.
• Maintain records of completed work orders and preventive maintenance.
• Follow OSHA safety guidelines and company policies.
• Provide friendly, professional service while interacting with guests and residents.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs throughout the resort, including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and general handyman tasks
• Maintain RV sites, utilities, and hookups to ensure they are safe and fully operational

• Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and mechanical systems
• Ability to troubleshoot and complete repairs independently
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Must have excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work weekends, holidays, and an on-call schedule as needed
• Pool maintenance certification (preferred but not required)
• Knowledge of irrigation systems and landscape maintenance
• Equipment operation experience (mowers, utility vehicles, power tools)
