Opal Collection in Delray Beach, FL is seeking a Maintenance Technician to handle upkeep, repairs, and guest maintenance requests across hotel facilities, including guest rooms and public spaces.

The role requires hands-on skills in painting, carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, and equipment maintenance, with a focus on safety and reliability. Full-time position with open availability and a strong emphasis on teamwork and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar role is required (minimum 2 years).

Responsibilities

• Performs minor painting, carpentry and masonry work to maintain facilities for staff.
• Performs minor plumbing maintenance to ensure operable facilities.
• Performs minor electrical maintenance including replacement or repair of fixtures using hand/power tools.
• Assists skilled maintenance workers on projects to complete work safely and efficiently.
• Participates in meetings and trainings to convey/gather information.
• Repairs furniture and building components to ensure safety and operability.
• Performs preventive maintenance on tools and equipment.
• Responds to emergencies after hours to resolve safety concerns.
• Maintains safety of guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas.
• Responds to guest calls and team member work orders to repair malfunctioning equipment.
• Performs other duties as requested by Supervisors.

Maintenance Technician will be responsible for all upkeep and repair duties including identifying the need for repairs, responding to guests’ maintenance requests, and servicing company equipment.

Responsibilities:

• Performs minor painting, carpentry and masonry work to provide operable and efficient facilities for Department personnel.
• Performs minor plumbing maintenance to provide operable and efficient plumbing capabilities to Department personnel.
• Performs minor electrical maintenance to include but not be limited to replacement or repair of fixtures using appropriate hand, power and specialty tools.
• Assists skilled maintenance workers with projects for the purpose of completing projects in a safe, efficient manner.
• Participates in meetings, workshops, training's, and seminars for the purpose of conveying and/or gathering information required to perform functions.
• Repairs furniture and building system components for the purpose of ensuring a safe working condition.
• Assists in performing scheduled and "as needed" inspection and preventive maintenance on tools and equipment to maintainoperability of the tools and equipment.
• Responds to emergency situations during and after hours for the purpose of resolving immediate safety concerns.
• Maintain the physical functionality and safety of the facility including, but not limited to, guest rooms, public space and front & back of the house areas.
• Respond to guest calls and team member work orders in a timely, friendly and efficient manner to assess and repair non-functioning machinery and/or equipment.
• Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent qualification required
• Minimum of 2 years working experience in a similar role required
• Extremely organized with good communication skills
• Detailed oriented with an aptitude for problem-solving
• Must be a team player
• Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance.
