BlueScope Coated Products in Middletown, OH is seeking a Maintenance Tech Team Lead to oversee fault diagnosis, repair, and preventive maintenance on machinery across the plant. The role requires strong electrical and mechanical knowledge and experience with PLC systems.

You will lead a small team, coordinate with operations, and ensure safe, reliable equipment performance. The position runs Monday through Thursday, 5:45am to 6pm.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Technology Diploma or Trade Certification or 5+ years as Industrial Mechanic/Electrician.
• PLC and basic drives experience; strong electrical and mechanical knowledge.

Required Qualifications & Experience:To be considered for this position, you must possess the following qualifications:· High School diploma or equivalent (GED)· Hold a Technology Diploma, Trade Certification or a minimum of five years of experience as an Industrial Mechanic and/or Electrician· PLC and basic drives experience· Strong electrical and mechanical knowledge· Proficient communication skills – particularly, the ability to explain complex electrical issues.· Must be able to perform physically demanding work, such as climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, twisting, and bending for extended periods of time.Desired Qualifications:· Metals, coating, roll forming or industrial maintenance experience· PLC experience, preferably Allen Bradley such as SLC 500, RSlogix 5/500/5000, PLC5, ControlLogix, Micrologix, and Panelview systemsSkills and Abilities· Demonstrates strong computer proficiency, including the ability to learn and use new systems.· Demonstrates strong practical aptitude in diagnosing and resolving equipment issues; able to work independently while contributing effectively within a team.· Good, professional communication skills· Ability to learn processes, equipment specifications, and company standards through active use of resources, manuals, training, policies, and collaboration with colleagues.· Ability to work up to 12-hour shifts· Ability to pass a background check and drug test as a condition of employmentThis is a Monday through Thursday shift 5:45am to 6pmThe preceding job responsibilities and tasks were designed to indicate the general nature and level of work performed by associates in this job.
