Job summary

ND Defense is seeking Maintenance Technicians for a temporary assignment on second shift (6:30 pm–5:00 am) from Sept 1, 2026 through Dec 31, 2026 at West Point, MS. The role involves installing, maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing mechanical systems on industrial machinery and plant facilities.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, diagnostics, logging activities, and assisting with facility projects while adhering to safety regulations and working with contractors as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience with industrial automation equipment (presses, conveyors, robotics).
• Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, carpentry and basic electrical work.
• Ability to read and understand schematics.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
• US Person status required.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventive maintenance and skilled repairs on electrical and mechanical production equipment and systems.
• Monitors equipment performance for safety and effectiveness.
• Diagnoses and troubleshoots equipment problems.

Job description

ND Defense is looking for Maintenance Techs to work on temporary assignment from Sept 1, 2026 - Dec 31, 2026 on second shift from 630 pm - 5 am.

The Maintenance Tech is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing the mechanical systems on industrial machinery and equipment (conveyors, presses, robotics, etc). Also maintains the general systems of the physical plant (HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, limited electrical, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Performs preventive maintenance and skilled repairs on complex electrical and mechanical production equipment and systems.
• Follows standard procedures tomonitorequipment for performance, safety, and effectiveness.
• Performs equipment failure analysis to complete preventive and unscheduled maintenance.
• Troubleshoots and diagnoses equipment problems.
• Logs equipment modifications and maintenance details in the designated system. Installing, repairing, andmaintainingelectrical components or mechanical systems of industrial.
• Following standard operating procedures, installs, inspects, repairs, and performs preventative maintenance to mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, safety, and waste management systems.
• Assistswith miscellaneous facility projects, including painting, drywall, carpentry, installation of fixtures, and moving furniture or materials within the facility.
• Utilizes a work order system to log activities asrequired. Works with orassiststrades contractors to complete projects or complex repairs.
• Follows all safety regulations and protocol.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Willing to perform physically demanding tasks, such as lift heavy objects, climbing ladders, crawling, etc.
• Essential Functions include but are not limited to: Ability tolift upto 50 lbs. on a regular basis, work in extreme cold and hot temperatures, squat, kneel, push, pull, and stand forlong periodsof time.
