Job summary

Western Sugar Cooperative in Scottsbluff, NE is seeking a Maintenance Tech to troubleshoot, maintain, and repair all mechanical equipment across the facility. The role requires leading safety initiatives and performing welding, cutting, and equipment setup as part of a rotating shift.

Applicants should have a two-year technical degree or equivalent experience, plus strong troubleshooting, computer, and communication skills. In-person work with comprehensive benefits and a 12-hour shift schedule.

Qualifications

• Two year technical degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• Maintenance/mechanical experience with process and packaging equipment.
• Basic understanding of vibration equipment, laser alignment, and oil analysis.
• Strong computer skills.
• Time management skills.
• Proven trouble shooting skills.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of sugar factory processes a plus.

Responsibilities

• Be a safety leader with solid safety behaviors and demonstrated leadership.
• Maintain process and packaging equipment across the facility.
• Weld, cut, set up equipment and dismantle equipment.
• Use hand and power tools.
• Work within a rotating shift or shift operation.
• Commitment to regular attendance.
