Job summary
Dal-Tile in Tennessee, part of Mohawk Industries, seeks an experienced Industrial Electrician to perform complex mechanical duties and electrical trade functions within a manufacturing environment. You will install, maintain and repair programmable controllers and drive systems to keep production flowing.
You will troubleshoot PLCs, design and modify control software, read blueprints, and work with VFDs and servomotors.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent experience. Knowledge of electrical code.
- Associate degree in industrial electronics preferred.
- 4+ years industrial maintenance experience and 2+ years industrial electrical experience. Formal PLC training preferred.
- Basic computer knowledge (Microsoft Office)
Responsibilities
- Trouble shoot PLCs using handheld device or laptop.
- Design and redesign program and software (PLCs, operator panels, etc).
- Format hard drives and install to computers and PC applications.
- Install, maintain or repair equipment for generation, distribution or utilization of electrical energy in a manufacturing environment.
- Locate and diagnose trouble in electrical systems or equipment using blueprints, drawings, layouts or specifications.
- Work standard computations related to load requirements of wiring and/or electrical equipment.
- Lead projects and complete them safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a safe, clean and organized work area.
