The role requires a high school diploma or GED, about 1 year of hotel maintenance experience if possible, and good communication. Weekend and evening availability is required, and a basic maintenance certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety by following guidelines and reporting incidents or unsafe conditions.
• Ensure the safety and cleanliness of indoor/outdoor areas like the car park and pool.
• Follow the preventive maintenance calendar to keep systems working efficiently.
• Be friendly and helpful to guests and colleagues alike.
• Keep supervisors informed of low running supplies.
• Present a neat, professional appearance in uniform.
• Be prepared to take on additional duties as needed by the team.

Summary:

The Maintenance Tech is responsible for keeping the hotel running smoothly and looking sharp. They will facilitate simple day-to-day repairs, long-term fixes, and are responsible for being proactive on maintenance-related issues.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Repair or replace items around the hotel and refurbish items in guest rooms. By keeping on top of these tasks, you'll keep our hotel looking great and working well.
• Organize supplies and make sure equipment is ready for the next day
• Live up to high safety standards - follow guidelines and tell your supervisor about any incidents, dangerous conditions or unsafe equipment
• Take responsibility for the safety and cleanliness of areas inside and outside the hotel, like the car park and pool
• Always keep an eye out for improvements - follow the preventative maintenance calendar and keep everything working and efficient at all times
• Be a friendly face and helping hand to our guests
• Keep your manager or duty manager in the loop and tell them about any low running supplies
• Look smart and approachable in your uniform
• Be ready to take on extra duties as and when the team needs you

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Have A Highschool Diploma, GED, or equivalent education experience
• Have 1 Year Hotel Maintenance Experience preferred
• Have basic maintenance certification/accreditation preferred
• Customer service experience preferred
• Be a team player
• Able to communicate effectively (Verbal/Written)
• Able to work weekends and evenings (Required)
