Job summary

National Vision is seeking a Maintenance Technician for our optical manufacturing facility in Plano, TX. The role focuses on servicing and maintaining lab equipment, performing preventative maintenance, handling work orders, and minimizing downtime.

We offer a 1st shift 6:00am–2:30pm, base pay with DOE plus bi-weekly bonus opportunities, generous PTO, and a comprehensive benefits package including 401k matching and health insurance. English literacy required.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of industrial maintenance experience (electro/mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulics, servo drives, HVAC).
• Must be able to read and write English.
• Experience in manufacturing is preferred; optical industry knowledge a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Performing Preventative Maintenance on all equipment, maintaining PM checklists.
• Handling work orders to resolve machine issues and minimize production down time.
• Servicing and maintaining Edgers, Generators and Blockers.
• Identifying issues and performing repairs.
• Assisting with installations, fabrications, servicing of other equipment and systems in the lab.
• Following all safety measures and PPE procedures.

We're seeking Maintenance Technicians to join the team at our growing optical manufacturing facility.

1st Shift Schedule: 6:00am - 2:30pm M-F. (Maintenance schedules may vary slightly)

Pay & extras: Base pay (DOE) PLUS extra bi-weekly bonus opportunities. We also have a generous PTO plan and many other benefits.

Maintenance Technicians are responsible for servicing and maintaining equipment located in the lab.

Principal duties and responsibilities include:

• Performing Preventative Maintenance on all equipment, maintainingPM checklists
• Handling work orders to resolve machine issues and minimize production down time

• Identifying issues and performing repairs
• Assisting with installations, fabrications, servicing of other equipment and systems in the lab
• Following all safety measures,"Lock out / Tag out" procedures and utilizingPPE if required

Qualifications:

• No specific education required
• 1-3 years previous experience in industrial maintenance(electro/mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulics, servo drives, HVAC, etc.)
• Experience in manufacturing desired, optical industry knowledge a plus but not required
• Must be able to read and write English
