Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking an experienced maintenance technician to lead preventive maintenance across complex utilities systems. You will perform routine and emergency maintenance in a multi-craft environment, including PLC, instrumentation, mechanical and equipment repair.

This role supports production goals and collaborates with engineering on projects. Candidates should have 5–7 years of hands-on manufacturing experience, familiarity with GMP, SQF, LOTO, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Associates degree or technical certification preferred.
• Mechatronics certifications for Levels 1-7 completed.
• 5–7 years of hands-on manufacturing maintenance experience.
• Familiarity with preventative maintenance and safety practices (LOTO, GMP).
• Able to read blueprints/schematics and operate basic machining tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine chemical testing and adjust parameters for cooling systems.
• Monitor heating/ventilation systems and adjust controls.
• Provide 24/7 automated process monitoring and take corrective action.
• Maintain supplies by ordering and receiving chemicals; liaise with vendors.
• Perform PM, PdM and corrective maintenance to maximize equipment life.
• Notify leadership of unsafe equipment and recommend repairs or replacements.
• Suggest design improvements for existing and new equipment.
